AppStoreHQ put together a comprehensive report detailing just how many developers have apps for both platforms.
AppStoreHQ scoured its developer directory and cross-checked developers for the Android Market (Android Market) against developers for Apple’s App Store. The data shows that hundreds of developers — big and small — aren’t betting on just one platform and are targeting both iOS and Android (Android) users.
According to AppStoreHQ’s research, 1412 developers in its database have published apps for both iOS and for Android. That ends up breaking down to 15% of Android developers and 3% of iOS developers.
Here are a few stats for some of the larger publishers:
Check out this spreadsheet that lists the 100 most-talked about cross platform mobile developers, at least, according to AppStoreHQ’s AppRank.

The Android 2.2 is finally out, starting with Google’s flagship phone, the Nexus One.
Android (Android) 2.2, codename “FroYo,” was revealed last month at the Google (Google) I/O conference in San Francisco. Featuring major speed upgrades, Wi-Fi hotspot and tethering functionality, cloud-to-device integrations and Adobe Flash 10.1.
While the newest version of the Google-build OS has been available for a short while now, today marks the official rollout of Android 2.2 to the masses. Most Nexus One owners can expect an over-the-air update sometime later today.

Google removed two free applications from Android phones this week, using a feature that allows them to delete the applications from phones remotely.
Google has not revealed the names of the applications but said they were applications built for research purposes by a security researcher. The researcher voluntarily removed the applications from Android Market.
The applications were removed because they violated the Android Market terms and intentionally misrepresented their purpose to encourage user downloads. The applications posed no threat, there was no malicious intent in their design, and they had no permission to access private information.

Google is now activating 160,000 mobile phones using its Android software a day, equivalent to 4.8m a month, according to the company's chief executive, Eric Schmidt.
The number is also accelerating, having been put at 100,000 a day in the third week of May during Google's annual I/O conference, Schmidt said – indicating sales growth of 60% per month.
"We have seen a tremendous increase in adoption," Schmidt said in an interview exclusive to the Guardian in the UK. "We've also seen a growth in the number of apps available for Android – there are now approximately 65,000 compared to only 50,000 a month ago." He believes that that means Android could have reached the volume necessary to become an essential mobile operating system – and perhaps the equivalent of Windows on PCs.

According to Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha, company’s Android-powered mobile devices are selling faster than they can be manufactured. Verizon has had similar experiences with the Droid Incredible from HTC, an Android phone whose biggest problem has been that demand outstrips current supply, said to Reuters.
More Motorola devices, including several with front-facing cameras for video conferencing, are slated for release later this year. Sprint’s EVO, another video conferencing-capable Android handset, has been on sale for just a few days and is already sold out and breaking Sprint sales records, too.
Additionally LG, a company that had previously committed to releasing Windows Mobile handsets, has stated it will release 20 Android handsets this year alone.
Ever since the Droid’s launch last November, its sales figures have rocked the mobile industry.

Nexus One is still alive and pretty much kicking, especially thanks to the community. Since Google won’t push new features to it, the community has to.
First Cyanogen added support for 802.11n WiFi in CyanogenMod, and now about half an hour ago, an xda-developers forum member by the name of charnsingh_online announced that he made a patch for CyanogenMod which enabled 720p video recording in the Nexus One.
The only requirement – CyanogenMod version of at least CM5.0.8test3, which means – yes, you need a rooted N1 running CM and not the stock OS.

We’ve seen the iPhone 3G running an older version of Android before, but now hackers have managed to install the latest version, Android 2.2 (also known as Froyo) on that same device.
Don’t try this out — not only because it’s potentially dangerous to your iPhone, but also because Android (Android) 2.2 doesn’t work very well on the iPhone. Currently, Wi-Fi and audio don’t work, which pretty much useless and kills the fun.
Still, if you want to see Froyo in action on the iPhone, you can check out the video below.

ZodTTD has made a name for himself by developing a PSX emulator for the iPhone. After almost 2,000 people signed a petition to get his work ported from the iPhone, ZodTTD decided to step up to the plate.
Partnering with the experienced emulator creator of NESoid and GameBoid to give himself an emulator base, the PSX emulator is shaping up to be a dream come true for nostalgia. Controls use the touch screen, the hard buttons, and even the trackball, however the interface seen above is that from GameBoid the Game Boy Advanced emulator for Android, and will not be the final product.
There is also full screen support for the games however Shadensu of Digital Disbeliever says the emulator is currently a bit sluggish and doesn't quite hit the 60 FPS sweet spot.
