According to poll conducted in America, nearly one in five people, or 18 percent, said they think President Obama is Muslim, up from the 11 percent who said so in March 2009, according to a poll released Thursday. The proportions who correctly say he is a Christian are just 34 percent, down from 48 percent in March of last year.
The White House even felt compelled to respond with a terse knockdown from spokesman Bill Burton: "The president is obviously a Christian. He prays every day." (Obama is a 'committed Christian', says White House)
Though its true that obama is christian but he was born to Kenyan Muslim father and a Kansas mother.
Born in Hawaii, he lived from ages 6 to 10 in predominantly Muslim Indonesia with his mother and Indonesian stepfather. His full name, Barack Hussein Obama, sounds Muslim to many.

As my previous post reported about this race of acquiring the highest number of fans in facebook, it seem Lady Gaga won the race.
Lady Gaga is the first living music artist to acquire 10 million fans or “Likes” on Facebook, beating U.S. President Barack Obama by around 700,000.
Gaga previously made headlines for being the first currently producing music artist to reach one billion YouTube views, based on data provided by video analytics company Visible Measures.
Her Twitter account, which has more than 4.5 million followers.

Facebook publicists told CNN on Thursday that the pop star and the president are neck-and-neck in the race to become the first living person with more than 10 million fans on the social networking site.
As of early Friday, Obama was in the lead, with 9,058,881 fans. Lady Gaga trailed behind with 9,023,966.
Both of them were more than 4 million fans behind the No. 1 individual, Michael Jackson, who had 13,285,811. The singer died a year ago.
Obama's page, which is run by the group Organizing for America, includes photographs of his recent Gulf Coast visit and links to speeches from news conferences.

US President Barack Obama's personal net worth is just $ 5 million: the lowest for any American President in five decades.
The last time a US President had a lower net worth than Obama was Harry Truman (1945-53) with less than $ one million, says a list compiled by The Atlantic magazine.
"Obama is the grandson of a goat herder. He is a former constitutional law professor and civil rights attorney. Book royalties constitute most of Obama's net worth," the US magazine said.
Obama, who took over as President in 2008, has fortunes to the tune of $ 5 million. In comparison, George W Bush, who was the President from 2001-08, had a net worth of $ 20 million while his predecessor Bill Clinton's fortune is estimated to be worth $ 38 million.

Here is the Obama accusing the developing, i mean rapidly developing nations like China and india for the rise of petrol price. He accuses that rise in demand of petrol because the people out in china and India are buying cars.
"Because one of the things, obviously, that we have to recognise is, is that no matter what we do, oil prices are going to be going up over the long term," he said choosing his first visit to recession-hit Buffalo in upstate New York to plug for public transportation.

NEW YORK: A new book on US president Barack Obama has revealed that even though the Commander in Chief portrays a cool image, he does lose his temper at times.
The book, 'The Promise: President Obama, Year One', by Newsweek senior editor Jonathan Alter, recounts a series of private blow-ups, including a particularly fiery one involving the nation's top military brass.
"A presidential dressing down unlike any in the US in more than half a century," the New York Daily News quoted Alter as describing the October 2009 eruption.
The outburst came after Gen. Stanley McChrystal gave a speech in London in which he publicly rejected proposals to turn the tide in Afghanistan with more drone missiles and special forces, a strategy backed mainly by vice-president Joe Biden.
