Fit people are seems to be Smart.

The facts is that team of researchers have found that smarter people are apparently a bit more symmetrical in terms of the shape of their body than less-intelligent individuals. The team observed that body symmetry is measured by looking at those parts of the body that come in pairs, right and left — such as fingers, toes, hands and feet — and then measuring and comparing the width and length of each side.

To arrive at their conclusion, the researchers examined 14 previous studies that in total explored the possible body-brain connection among nearly 1,900 people.

They noted that past efforts have pointed towards intelligence as being a key indicator of future health, mortality and perhaps even overall fitness; a critical ingredient in boosting the chances for reproductive success and overall survivability.

It was this evidence of a connection between fitness and brains that sparked the notion among the team that body symmetry might correlate with intelligence.

Earphones can cause Deafness.

High volume at which they hear music via earphone could cause deafness.

How it works

To understand how high volume affects your hearing, you need to understand how sound travels. We listen when sound travels down the ear canal and causes the eardrum to vibrate, which in turn causes three small bones in the middle ear to vibrate and amplify the sound.

The third middle ear bone vibrates against the snail shaped cochlea of the inner ear. The cochlea is filled with fluid and is lined with frequency-sensitive hair cells that convert vibrations into electrical signals going to the brain. The cells that respond to high frequency sounds are located in the outer cochlea while those for the low frequencies are located in the inner parts of the cochlea.

New York: In the face of falling ratings, the CNN host Larry King announced on Tuesday evening, that he would end his long-running talk show, "Larry King Live," this fall.

Jonathan Klein, president of CNN's domestic channel, said that Mr. King, 76, was ending the show "on his own terms," just after his 25th anniversary. Mr. Klein said he would announce a new 9 pm program over the summer.

Mr. King will stay at CNN part time. In an announcement on his show, he said that he would host an undetermined number of specials "on major national and international subjects." "Larry King Live," the centerpiece of the CNN primetime schedule, has seen its ratings drop sharply in the recent years, particularly in the last six months, leading to widespread talk that Mr. King's current contract, which will expire in June 2011, could be his last. Asked by Bill Maher, his guest on his Tuesday night show, about the speculation in the media, Mr. King said "that had nothing to do with it." He said he approached CNN management about the change and they "graciously accepted."

Sepp Blatter apologises to England, Mexico for Referee Mistakes.

(AP) With pressure for video replay mounting after two blatant missed calls at the World Cup, FIFA president Sepp Blatter said soccer's governing body will reopen the issue after the tournament.

Blatter said Tuesday that FIFA deplores ``when you see the evidence of refereeing mistakes.'' It would be ``a nonsense'' not to consider changes, he said.

The referee at England's second-round match with Germany on Sunday missed a clear English goal that would have tied the score 2-2. Germany went on to win 4-1. Hours later, a referee awarded a goal to Argentina on a play in which goal-scorer Carlos Tevez was obviously offside. Argentina went on to beat Mexico 3-1.
