State-owned oil firms may opt to revise petrol prices every fortnight to reflect changes in the global oil market in the free pricing regime that kicks in from next week.
Petrol prices were freed from government control last month resulting in a Rs 3.50 per litre hike in rates in Delhi, but modalities of subsequent retail price adjustments were left to the industry to deliberate and decide.
Sources said Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum on Thursday began consultations on modalities like the frequency or interval at which prices will be revised and if the PSUs should have uniform rate that would change on same date.

In the Browser war, Mozilla and Opera having a stable hold, Safari moving upwards, and Chrome building its market share. Mozilla Firefox is the leader with it's market share, if the statistics is to be believed, firefox is loosing its share and its being captured by Microsoft's IE.
Internet Explorer having a potential growth of approximately 0.5% from May to June. That's not all; the graph also shows Firefox losing half as much what IE gained, and Opera giving room of rest of the percentage to IE.

Bluetooth 4.0 specifications revealed, expected in devices by Q4 2010

While developing the Bluetooth 4.0 Core Specification, SIG’s primary focus areas were low power consumption using new ‘low energy technology’, apart from enhanced range and multi-vendor operability. They seem to have achieved what they set out to do, and claim that it will allow for several years’ worth of usage on standard coin-cells. This will allow for very small and low cost devices to incorporate Bluetooth as a connectivity option, as it doesn’t require large batteries to power it. This ‘low energy technology’ feature of Bluetooth 4.0 promises to have “new applications in health care, fitness, security and home entertainment”.
According to the Executive Director of SIG, Michael Foley, "Bluetooth wireless technology can now, with the hard work of our members and our world-class qualification program, really do it all.”

Scientists develop a brain chip that could potentially defeat paralysis and more.

Researchers in the UK are on the verge of producing a technology that might allow paralysed patients to operate bionic limbs via a transmitter brain implant. The technology relies on tiny microprocessors that will sense nerve impulses, decode the signals, and then transmit them to the bionic limbs. All this takes place wirelessly, which makes it unique compared to other experiments in the field, which actually required a wire to be attached to the processor.
While the idea behind this technology has been there for a while, the means with which to actually decode impulses and relay them intelligibly has been missing. Perhaps the most important aspect of the new technology are the decoding algorithms which give the chips the ability to recognize which impulses will control which limb, rather than the relaying of the signal aspect. In fact, this is a potential step towards an actual integration between microprocessors and the brain, which has thousands of potential applications, from physical training to data storage, augmented reality to internet connectivity. In fact, the zenith of the technology will be to provide an artificial link between the limb and the brain, bypassing the damaged nerves (or centers) that are causing the paralysis. A possible way to do this would be by transmitting signals from the brain implant to another implant, a stimulator in the spinal cord.

Apple finally commented on the iTunes account fiasco, revealing that it had been caused by Thuat Nguyen himself, the developer whose works were being illegally purchased.
It is also said that that the hack was limited to only about 400 iTunes accounts but some big figure which many were suspecting. New security measures will also be instated, to avoid credit card misuse.

You might have seen dolphin dancing to the tunes of his master in zoo show. People love such dolphin to its loving and interactive nature, one such popular dolphin is 'Moko' which even made headline through the world for finding out and rescuing two stranded whales.
Moko was a familiar sight around the North Island's eastern beaches, swimming among bathers but sometimes blocking them from reaching shore.
Conservationists confirmed the carcass of a bottlenose dolphin was "probably" Moko, and tests are being done.

As one of my post reported that plane powered by sunlight is being tested for the night time and the BBC reports says that the mission, i mean the test flight was successful and had continuously flow through out the night, continuously for 26 hrs.
The plane landed at Payerne airport after a total flight time of 26 hours.
During the flight it reached a height of 8,700 m (28,543 ft).
Assistants rushed to stabilise the experimental aircraft as it touched down, ensuring that its huge 63m (207ft) wingspan did not scrape the ground and topple the plane.

According to Apple, Thuat Nguyen hacked around 400 iTunes accounts, in order to use their credit card details to boost sales of his comic book apps.
Apple said it had tightened its security as a result of the hack.
At one point Mr Nguyen's apps occupied 42 of the top 50 book apps sold.
In a statement Apple said that the developer and his apps have been removed from the iTunes store "for violating the developer Program License Agreement including fraudulent purchase patterns".

Japan's sumo is going through its hard times from damaging scandals and declining popularity. Recently investigation suggests that the sumo wrestlers might be having ties with organised criminals(Underworld)
On Sunday, the Japan Sumo Association, the sport's governing body, announced the firing of a top wrestler and a stable master a powerful coach who controls a cluster of wrestlers for betting on professional baseball games in a gambling ring run by organized crime. Two other stable masters were demoted, and 18 other wrestlers were barred from competing in the next tournament.
This came after an apparently unrelated scandal two months ago over the sale of tickets for prized seats at the foot of the sport's raised dirt ring to around 50 members of the Yamaguchi-gumi, Japan's largest crime syndicate. The seats allowed the gangsters, known as yakuza, to be clearly visible during television broadcasts of the bouts, a brazen display that sumo experts said was aimed at cheering up an incarcerated syndicate boss watching from prison.

Shopping is really bad for men's health and fertility, scientists are now saying after new research.
Researchers have discovered that a chemical compound found on some cash receipts contains a hazardous substance, Bisphenol A (BPA), which suppresses male hormones in the body and can make men impotent.
The compound, used to make ink visible on thermally sensitive paper, is ingested when men handle the paper and then touch their mouths or handle food.
Frank Sommer, a Berlin-based urologist, said the substance could just affect sex hormones in men.
"A substance like that could shift the balance of sex hormones in men towards oestrogen," Sommer was quoted as saying by The Telegraph newspaper here.
