After India white washing of Australian cricket team in Test cricket with 2-0, it is reported that some of the Australian athletes showed their True sports spirit by creating ruckus at CWG village.

An Australian athlete was sent home for disciplinary reasons amidst allegations that some of their sports persons indulged in hooliganism and damaged property at the Commonwealth Games Village.

The Australian High Commission has admitted to damage to a washing machine but denied it was in reaction to Australia's loss in the cricket Test series against India.

The High Commission said in a press statement: “There were indeed some spirited celebrations involving the Australian team and a number of other teams at the athlete's village.”

A broken washing machine was found in the block where the Australian delegation was staying. The appliance seemed to have been thrown off the 8th floor.

The incident occurred shortly after India beat Australia in cricket. Delhi police officials said they are not pursuing the matter since no formal complaint has been filed.

The Australian Chef de Mission has apologised for the incident.
