Ratan Tata, Tata Group chairman, on sunday announced that all their businesses in aerospace and defence will be centered in Hyderabad.
Speaking at a function which was organised for handover of the first India built cabin for Sikorsky S-92 helicopter for US-based Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation.
The cabins were manufactured by Tata Advanced Systems (TAS), wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons at Adibatla SEZ on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
Tata group has invested around Rs 1,000 crore in the project.
Apart from this, another joint venture of the group with Agusta Westland of Italy is also planning to set up a helicopter manufacturing unit at GMR Group’s aviation SEZ.
