Para swimmer and Commonwealth Games bronze medalist Prashant Karmakar has accused the Railways of insulting his achievements by rewarding with Group-D Railway job.
Promised a job in the Railways by none other than Railways Minister Mamta Banerjee after his bronze medal.
He felt very insult after he got allocated Group-D job in railways recently.
"Group C job means a lower division clerk but group D I'm not sure.. maybe an office boy, or peon or waiter ..like that," said Prashant.
"Mamata offered him group D as he was in financial need. Group D has less formalities in time is associated with it. We still stand by the offer. Promotional aspects exist even after joining in group d job, said Anil saxena, Railway board spokesperson.
