Bollywood’s fittest hunk Hrithik Roshan has taken up smoking and if sources are to be believed the actor is puffing cigarette on a daily basis. All his fans are a bit concerned about him and are confused as to what made the health conscious Hrithik take up this unhealthy trait. Offering a logical explanation for his latest fondness, Hrithik blamed the character that he’s set to portray in his forthcoming film ‘Guzaarish’ and has said that the role demanded him to be a chain smoker.
Speaking to a news daily, Hrithik said, “I have started smoking for my character of a paralysed man that I play in my next film Guzaarish”. Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who is the director of ‘Guzaarish’, insists on having his actors get inside their characters to perfection. He made Hrithik look less muscular and also made him sport some weight around his midriff. Further he wanted Hrithik to smoke for his character in ‘Guzaarish’.
Nevertheless, this smoking habit won’t be for long. The actor further shared with the media “I will stop smoking on May 21”, strongly claiming that it was plainly for professional reasons. Incidentally May 21 is when his big film ‘Kites’ will release at the Box Office.
After winding up ‘Guzaarish’, the next film that he will be working on is Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Running with the Bulls’, for which the actor has to put on five kilos. However, this time he has to accumulate the weight in terms of muscle mass. For this project as well, the actors’ sheer willpower will see him through punishing workouts and a strict diet.
The perfectionist that Hrithik is plans to look fit and absolutely fine for whatever role etched for him.
