'Chak De' played instead of S Korean National Anthem during Asian Wrestling Championship medal ceremony.

Looks like the popularity of Bollywood music is expanding beyond Sub-Continent and Hollywood. Lately at Asian Wrestling Championship, during medal ceremony, the organizers had faced huge embarrassment by not playing the South Korean National anthem, instead played popular Hindi song.

The Korean who finished first and were waiting for their national anthem to be played were amused when they heard different tune. The organizers realized that it wasn't South Korean national anthem when the lyrics of the Hindi song started. The music was instantly cut off and the Korean participants were escorted off the podium without the national anthem playing ritual.

A PIL was filed in Allahabad High Court demanding immediate ban on Hindi Movie item number songs 'Munni Badnam Hui' and 'Sheila ki Jawani' on the grounds that they were against decency and morality.

On December 23, a woman had filed a PIL in court seeking an immediate ban on the two songs, alleging that they were against decency and morality.

Resul Pookutty gets Invitation to be Oscar Academy Member.

Oscar-winning sound technician Resul Pookutty is among 135 artistes and executives who have been invited by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to join as a voting member.

"The work of these individuals has been appreciated by moviegoers all around the world. The Academy is proud to invite each and every one of them," said Academy president Tom Sherak in a statement.

Elated over the news, Pookutty said that this is another recognition of the work by Indian artistes. "It's a great honour to be nominated as a voting member by the board of governors," Pookutty said.

Pookutty is the first Asian sound technician to be a member of the Academy.

He has titled his film Balls Hain Kya that will have around 10 people discussing their perspectives on everything under the sun - from sex before marriage to infidelity to virginity to marital rape/abuse to internet chatting to sex toys to bisexuality, fetishes et al.

The cast that he has finalised for the film are not actors but real people. Anirudh reveals, "All of them are very different from each other. The characters include a blind girl, a gay character, a young couple, a married Sardar, a eunuch, a model, a traditional housewife, a celebrity and a rickshaw driver, who will be playing themselves in the film.”

The latest software which has caught his fancy is video-editing. The actor edited a small snippet of him driving into his house in a car and posted it on his blog.

"After an entire morning of learning how to edit a DVD on my own, have finally managed a little snippet," wrote Bachchan on his blog.

Describing the video,the actor wrote, "This is me in the red SUV coming into my house Jalsa on a Sunday evening. And this is a recurring scenario every Sunday, every evening.

The 71-year-old actor was suffering from cancer and breathed his last
at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital in suburban Mumbai, hospital sources said.

Born as Mohan Makhijaney, Mac Mohan is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son. He was the maternal uncle of actress Raveena Tandon and also late Sunil Dutt's classmate in Lucknow from where he hailed.

I Hate Luv Storys is a forthcoming film starring Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor in the lead roles.Produced under Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and directed by debutante Punit Malhotra, nephew of designer Manish Malhotra who has earlier worked as an assistant director to Johar.

The picture shows Imran along with Sonam.The picture is stated to be released on 2 July.

Shahid Kapoor-starrer Badmaash Company, about four friends doing con jobs to become rich overnight, has got good reviews and viewers have enjoyed their capers but first time director Parmeet Sethi says he wrote the script of the film in frustration.

"The bell actually rang three years back when I was sure that I will direct a film. This is the second script that I have written," said Parmeet.

"Yash Raj Films (YRF) had approved my first script too, but we couldn't make it. I waited for one and a half years, but the film didn't take off and I was frustrated. I was in a dilemma whether to stick to my plans to direct a film or go back to acting. Then in frustration, I wrote this script," he added.

New Delhi, April 28 (IANS) Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif may be tight-lipped about their relationship status, but they have been voted the hottest couple of the decade in a poll by MSN India that also declared superstar Shah Rukh Khan the actor of the decade.

The two have beaten the likes of Abhishek Bachchan-Aishwarya Rai, Bipasha Basu-John Abraham and Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor.
