Million of rupees has ended as food for the termites, thanks to the negligence of Bank officials(not surprised). This incident happened at a bank's old building where currency notes stacked in a steel chest.
Police say termites have devoured currency notes worth 10 million rupees ($ 222,000), had registered a case of negligence by bank officials.
Police also said the termites had damaged bank furniture and documents in the past. The money was put in the bank chest in January.
